To register a drone, you must:

If you're a business, you should consider getting an organisation aviation reference number (ARN) to allow others to manage your drone fleet.

Follow these steps to register your drone:

  1. Create or use your Digital Identity to log into myCASA

You can use Digital Identity to login.

If you don’t have one, it is a safe, secure and convenient way to provide or reuse your identity online.

If you already have a myCASA account, you can sign in using your account details.

  2. Apply for an aviation reference number (ARN) or link your existing ARN

Follow the prompts to apply for an individual ARN or link your existing ARN.

An organisation ARN lets others in your business manage online transactions with us on behalf of the business.

This is helpful if they need to manage or register drones for you.

You’ll need to enter your personal details, including:

    • name

    • manufacturer name
    • model name
    • drone category
    • drone weight.
  6. Enter your drone's serial number

Enter the drone’s unique serial number. You might find this:

    • inside the battery compartment of the drone

If you need to register multiple drones, you can add them by selecting ‘Add Drone.’ Then, repeat the previous steps for each additional drone you want to register.
