We offer opportunities for recent graduates to join us for an exciting and rewarding career through the Australian Government Graduate Programs.
You can find details about the program, including how to apply, on the graduate APSJobs.
Applications typically open each year in March. The recruitment process can take up until the end of September. If you’re successful, you can start working before the official launch of the program at the start of the following year.
Each year a lead Australian government agency is selected to manage the recruitment for each stream. For example, you can pick streams such as HR, digital, legal, data and many more.
This means you must apply for a place through the lead agency on the APSC's APSJobs website. We can then consider you for a role along with other agencies.

The Australian Government Indigenous Apprenticeships Program (IAP) is a pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to start their career in the Australian public service.
Services Australia coordinates the IAP with applications opening around January. The recruitment process can take up until the end of June. Apprentices join us from July up until the end of August.
We work closely with the Australian Network on Disability. Each year, the Network offers internships to people living with disability who are currently studying or who have recently graduated from university.
The Network matches interns with us and we offer them a paid work experience placement during their winter or summer semester breaks.
