We're a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and work with aviation regulatory authorities overseas to promote aviation safety and airworthiness of aviation products.

We have a number of agreements related to:

  • certification
  • maintenance
  • transport cooperation.

ANAC and CASA have agreements to accept each other’s airworthiness approvals of:

  • aeronautical products
  • maintenance facilities and alteration and/or modification facilities
  • maintenance personnel
  • flight simulator evaluation and qualification.

CAA and CASA have agreements to:

  • enhance partnership and cooperation in training and knowledge exchange
  • share safety information and technical arrangements on airworthiness certification and aviation maintenance.

We work with EASA to oversee the Airbus A380 fleet:

Federal Aviation Administration, United States (FAA)

We work with the FAA and have developed a bilateral aviation safety agreement (BASA) to provide for cooperation to:

  • sustain equivalent levels of aviation safety
  • accept of each other’s approvals, evaluation and monitoring of civil aeronautical:
    • products
    • personnel
    • facilities.

Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD)

We have a signed a technical arrangement with HKCAD to:

  • develop procedures
  • cooperate in safety quality objectives.
