Part 64 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) sets out the privileges and requirements for:
- operating an aeronautical radio
- the authority to taxi an aeroplane.
The Part also includes provision to recognise the training and assessment conducted by registered training organisations for the grant of an aeronautical radio operator authorisation.
Who it affects
Part 64 of CASR affects:
- anyone who needs to communicate on an aviation air-band radio frequency and is not already licensed or qualified
- anyone else who needs to taxi an aeroplane and is not already licensed or qualified
- operators of unmanned aircraft.
