CASA staff members receive the LEAD award

CASA was recognised nationally recently for our efforts to make sure we are a diverse and inclusive workplace for everyone.

The L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Excellence and Distinction) Awards are a celebration of achievement in inclusive excellence and outstanding intersectional work across the Australian Public Service.

CASA was nominated and a finalist for 3 awards:

  • outstanding equity, diversity and inclusion strategy award - organisation
  • outstanding diversity, equity and inclusion innovation award - team
  • diversity, equity and inclusion champion award - individual.

We’re proud to announce our Perth office received the L.E.A.D. Award for outstanding diversity, equity and inclusion innovation.

The team received the award for their efforts in reconciliation, support of flexible work practices, and support for staff living with disability.

Their reconciliation activities have focused on areas including building strong relationships with local Elders and enhancing their knowledge and understanding of Acknowledgement of Country in the Noongar language.

Across the country, we participate in a range of initiatives to demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation and creating a workplace where people feel embraced and valued.

These include implementing the activities outlined in our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, and maintaining and fostering diversity networks for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, LGBTQIA+ staff and allies, staff who are living with a disability or performing carer roles, and staff in our gender equity network.
