Important Information about Registration Forms for Gliders
New forms have been released in March 2014. These forms now align with recent changes to the aircraft registration forms lodged with CASA for aircraft that are not gliders.
Please ensure you always access application forms from the website and destroy any superseded versions you have saved.
There have been changes to identification requirements. For further information, please read the CASR Part 47 - Registration of aircraft and related matters page. Note that it is no longer necessary to provide certified copies of evidence of identification and eligibility.
For initial registration applications (Form 1329), a photo of the data plate must be provided.
You are now required to have an ARN. Read the guidance for the relevant application form for further information.

Payment of fees
If a fee is applicable to GFA registration form, you must pay the fee before the form can be processed. All payment options are available on the GFA webpage. Click on the Airworthiness option under Categories on the left side of the screen.
Form 1323 - Application for Change of Registration Mark
Form 1323 / Form 1323 guidelines
This form should be used by the registration holder or, if authorised, the registered operator, when applying for a change of registration mark on an glider that is already VH registered.
Form 1326 - Cancellation of an Aircraft Registration
Form 1327 - Transfer of Ownership
Form 1327 Part 1 - Notice of Transfer of Ownership/ Form 1327 Part 1 guidelines
This form should be used by the seller (former owner and registration holder) to notify of a change in ownership. This form must be submitted as soon as practicable and, in any case, within 14 days after the date of the transfer of the asset.
Form 1327 Part 2 - Application by New Owner to become the Registration Holder/ Form 1327 Part 2 guidelines
This form should be used by the buyer (new owner) to apply to become the registration holder of a currently registered glider. This form must be submitted within 28 days after the date of transfer of the asset. If your glider is not currently VH registered and you are applying for an initial registration, use Form 1329 (Registration Application).
Note: Late lodgement of Form 1327 Part 2 may result in the suspension of the aircraft’s registration.
Form 1329 - Registration Application

This form should be used by the owner of a glider when applying for initial registration. If the glider is currently “VH” registered under the name of another entity and that registration is to be transferred, use Form 1327 Part 1 and Form 1327 Part 2.
Form 1330 - Change of Aircraft Details
If you wish to notify of the appointment of a new registered operator or about a change of ownership you should use Form 1332 or Form 1327 Part 1 and Form 1327 Part 2.
Form 1332 - Appointment / Cancellation of Registered Operator

This form should be used by the registration holder of a registered glider when nominating or cancelling the appointment of a registered operator. It may also be used by the current registered operator to cancel its own appointment as the registered operator. A nomination must also be signed and accepted by the nominated registered operator.
Form 1399 - Request for Replacement of a Certificate of Registration

This form should be used by the registration holder to request a replacement certificate of registration when the original certificate has been lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged to the point that the certificate contents are no longer legible.
If you require a replacement certificate of registration due to a change in owner, use Form 1327 Part 1 and Form 1327 Part 2. If you require a replacement certificate of registration due to a change in aircraft details, use Form 1330.
Form 1162 - Aviation Reference Number (ARN) Application
Should be used by individuals applying for an ARN.
Form 1170 - Aviation Reference Number (ARN) Application
Should be used by organisations applying for an ARN.
This form may be used if there is a requirement to provide a Statutory Declaration for any registration related matter. This form is not required for the majority of registration related issues and is provided as a service only for use by industry in those cases where a Statutory Declaration is specifically requested.
