Part 172 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) sets out requirements for the approval of air traffic service providers.

The Part includes standards for:

  • air traffic facilities
  • safety management
  • provision of air traffic services.

  • the aviation community
  • Department of Defence, if it chooses to comply with the standards specified in Part 172 of CASR.
