The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) gives you a general right of access to documents held by CASA. Under the FOI Act, you have a legal right to obtain copies of documents we hold. However, we can refuse access to some documents, or parts of documents, that are exempt documents. Exempt documents may include documents containing material obtained in confidence or documents that would involve the unreasonable disclosure of personal information. Once your request is submitted, our freedom of information officer will contact you via email. A request for access under the FOI Act can only be for existing documents and not for information, such as answers to questions. Should you require such information, please use the relevant contact forms.
Disclosure log We publish a list of documents we have released in response to FOI requests as required by the FOI Act. All documents included in this log is available for public access. Check this log before you make an FOI request. The disclosure log requirement does not list documents released under the FOI Act containing certain personal or business information. You may have to pay a fee to get access to documents that are not available via download link in the log.
