A flight crew exam record is an official document.
We don’t generally accept requests to change or delete records.
Each application to change a record is not automatically approved.
We evaluate every application individually.
Amendments not permitted
You cannot apply to delete:
- a recorded exam already passed just to re-sit it to get a more impressive score
- an older exam version to sit a current exam version
- exam failures from your records.
We provide flight crew exams for flight crew licencing.
Once you have passed an exam, it signifies that you have the required standards for that licence.
Amendments permitted
In some cases, we approve requests to change applications.
If this occurs, we'll charge a fee of $150 to cover the cost of our staff resources.
In exceptional cases, we may approve to delete certain exam records.
Two possible scenarios include:
- deleting a passed CPL (aeroplane) exam to re-sit the same exam in an integrated sequence (this helps to preserve your eligibility to continue training in the CPL course)
- deleting an 'absent' status for an exam (an ‘absent’ status is an official exam record from an earlier CAA system and it carries no implications on your exam performance).
Once we have processed an amendment, we cannot undo that process.
The exam records will not carry the deleted or pre-amendment exam information.
Submit an application
If you want to change a flight crew exam record, you need to send an application us.
The re-assessment will cost $150.
If your application involves a more complex task, we will calculate the work involved and let you know the new fee for your consideration.
If we do not approve your application, we will not process the fee.
Application process
The application process to change a flight crew exam record is:
- send an application to us with:
- your ARN and name
- contact telephone number
- reason for applying including, where relevant, exam type and date of sitting
- your authorisation to delete passed exams and/or alter exam records
- credit card name, number and expiry date, and a signed authorisation to debit the amount of $150.
- we will assess your application and let you know if we do not approve the application
- if we approve the application, we will process your authorised payment
- once the payment has been confirmed, we will process the application request
- we will let you know when the process is complete with a civil aviation record. This may be in the form of a pre-requisite report (exam history) or an email.
