Renew or vary a foreign air transport air operators certificate (FATAOC)

If your foreign air transport air operators certificate (FATAOC) is due to expire, we'll send you:

Non-scheduled flights

If you wish to conduct more than 8 non-scheduled flights in a 12-month period you may need to hold a foreign aircraft air operator's certificate.

How to renew or vary your FATAOC

  1. Complete and submit your application form

    Complete and submit your application form and supporting documents:

    Instructions on how to submit are within the form.

  2. Pay the fee

    We will send you an estimate of the costs to assess your application.

    The estimate letter will also contain any additional documents you must provide to support your application.

    If you wish to proceed with your application, you must:

    • pay the application fee
    • submit any additional supporting documents.
  3. Processing time frames

    From the date we receive your payment allow 30 working days for renewals and 60 working days for variations. The time frame may change according to the information provided in the form.

  4. Issuing your renewed FATAOC

    If we approve your application, we'll issue you a renewed or revised FATAOC and Ops Spec.
