Issue: increase in use of advanced wing suits and parachutes

With better parachutes and wing suits, parachutists now face more risk. Wing suits can glide for a range of 4 nm. This increases the risk of conflict with other traffic.

Parachutists now move and turn at high speeds with wing suits and advanced parachutes. This raises the risk of collisions, spins, and other errors like stalling the chute.

What can parachuting operators do?

You should follow all rules and guidance presented at the Australian Parachuting Federation (APF). You can also find educational guidance in their articles and member theses.
