The most common occurrence type for Class C accidents and serious incidents over 10 years were:

  • taxiing collision: 4 accidents and 10 serious incidents
  • runway excursion: 4 accidents and 9 serious incidents
  • near collision: 12 serious incidents

The most common occurrence type for Class D accidents and serious incidents over 10 years were:

  • near collision: 96 serious incidents
  • hard landing: 31 accidents and 8 serious incidents
  • runway excursion: 16 accidents and 18 serious incidents

The top 3 taxonomies for Class C incidents were:

  • birdstrike: 73.3%
  • loss of separation: 5.4%
  • runway incursion: 5.4%

The top 3 taxonomies for Class D incidents were:

  • birdstrike: 57.2%
  • runway incursion: 22%
  • runway excursion: 6.3%
