We are establishing a panel of approved operators to provide ongoing access to aircraft and simulator hire services. This will enable CASA officers the ability to carry out their regulatory functions as required.
If you operate an aircraft or simulator, you can apply to join the panel.
Services you can provide
Operators are invited to provide the following services under this panel arrangement:
- aircraft hire for transportation needs where a CASA officer is to be pilot in command
- aircraft hire for flight checking of navigational aids, airways, instrument approaches and aerodromes
- simulator hire for instrument approach data validation
- aircraft and simulator hire for flight training (Part 141 and/or Part 142 Certification applicable), aircraft type conversion or flight currency
- aircraft and simulator for flight instruction
- related support services and equipment.
Apply to join the panel
The HASS Panel will commence on 1 October 2026 and run for an initial term of 5 years. The Panel will remain open for receiving applications during this time.

New applicants must complete form 1160 above.
Deadline for submitting applications
You must submit your application by 2:00PM (AEST) on 31 July 2026. Submissions received after this time may not be assessed until after 1 October 2026.
