Part 4 of CAR Airworthiness requirements

Part 4 of Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) sets out certain maintenance requirements and standards for Australian aircraft other than those covered by Part 42 of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR).

The Part also provides a framework for the implementation of those standards.

The standards include issuing:

  • certificates of approval for maintenance organisations
  • airworthiness authorities to those eligible.

  • maintenance personnel
  • maintenance organisations.
