Transition deadlines

Operators must meet some important safety standards to continue to operate.

The following rule transitions have been completed:

  • aircraft equipment requirements
  • minimum equipment list requirements
  • training and checking systems
  • rotorcraft performance
  • single pilot aeroplane (MOPSC 10-13) operations.

The safety improvements under the flight operation regulations, can be made anytime up until the final deadline and include provisions for:

  • equipment requirements
  • training and checking systems
  • human factors and non-technical skills
  • rotorcraft performance
  • safety management systems
  • single pilot aeroplane (MOPSC 10-13) operations.

Remaining transition key dates and deadlines

The remaining provisions that all air transport operators will need to have in place are:

  • safety management system (CASA EX73/24 Parts 2 and 4)
  • human factors and non-technical skills training system for their staff (CASA EX73/24 Part 6)
  • flight data analysis program (for certain operators only) (CASA EX73/24 Part 11).
