We have developed this plain English guide to help you understand the Part 135 regulations that apply to pilots and operators of smaller aeroplanes for an Australian air transport operation. Smaller aeroplanes are defined as having a maximum operational passenger seat configuration of not more than 9 and a maximum take-off weight of not more than 8,618 kg.
The guide sets out the regulatory requirements in a concise, clear, easy-to-read, and practical format for:
- Part 135 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR)
- Part 135 MOS
- Part 119 of CASR (as applicable).
It contains exemptions, relevant guidance material and advisory documents.
