The proposed change aims to ensure continued safety by reducing aviation congestion and providing more equitable access to airspace as Sydney air traffic continues to grow.

Submissions were received from a wide variety of airspace users including aerial work operators, flight training, air transport pilot licence holders, commercial pilot licence holders, private/recreational pilots, emergency services, sport aviation pilots as well as some non-aviation industry stakeholders.

Next steps

Airservices Australia has concluded community engagement on this proposal. All feedback and submissions received will be carefully reviewed and considered as part of the ongoing development of the Airspace Change Proposal.
