We’ve published the summary of consultation and feedback on our proposal to repeal 7 uniquely Australian Beechcraft wing bolt airworthiness directives (ADs).

The consultation received 39 responses from aircraft owners, operators, maintainers and industry groups. Feedback highlighted support for evidence-based airworthiness regulation and alignment with State of Design requirements, while also identifying concerns about maintenance-induced risks, operational costs and parts availability associated with the current AD requirements.
We are now considering the feedback received and will continue work on the proposal to repeal the 7 identified Beechcraft wing bolt ADs. We will also continue our work to develop an appropriate direction for continuing airworthiness management of aircraft used in air transport operations.
The broader review of Australian-specific legacy ADs affecting general aviation aircraft under 5,700 kg will continue. We will consult separately on each category of AD under review and encourage stakeholders to provide feedback as this work progresses.
