The draft policy aimed to better match requirements to each operation’s risk while protecting people on the ground.
Respondents broadly supported this direction. Feedback also highlighted the need for practical guidance, clearer requirements and proportionate approval processes.
The feedback will inform further policy development and work to support any future changes. This may include guidance, updated assessment frameworks, training resources and transition arrangements.
