Changes to aircraft rating instruments

The main changes include:

  • addition of the Bombardier Global 8000 (G8000)
  • clarification of the type rating requirement for Airbus A320 and A321 series aircraft
  • introduction of differences training requirement for Bombardier Challenger CL-604 models fitted with Pro Line Fusion avionics
  • changes to CASR 61.747 requirement for Pilatus PC-12 models to include aircraft fitted with an autothrottle system or Garmin 3000 avionics
  • formalising flight training requirements for the Textron Aviation King Air B100 model.

The instrument also provides increased flexibility for pilots who operate King Air 200 and 300 series aeroplanes fitted with autothrottle systems.
