Part 4 of Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) outlines the maintenance requirements and standards that apply to Australian aircraft. The Part provides a framework for the implementation of those standards.

The standards includes issuing of certificates of approval for maintenance organisations and issuing airworthiness authorities to those eligible.
