Part 13 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR) is currently only partially complete.

Subpart 13.K of CASR covers:

  • the aviation self-reporting scheme (ASRS)
  • the demerit point scheme and what offences can result in demerit points, how many and against what licences.

Who it affects

Subpart 13.K of CASR affects:

  • those in the aviation community who hold a licence, certificate or other authorisation granted by CASA
  • those required to comply with civil aviation regulations.

Legislative instruments

Legislative instruments apply to a broad range of people. These instruments include Manuals of Standards and exemptions to regulatory requirements that apply to classes of people. For example, when an instrument applies to all flight crew who hold a licence.
