We're adding the ability to notify us of significant changes to 7 certificates in myCASA to help businesses move online and away from filling out complex paper forms.

From today, notification of significant changes in myCASA is available for the following certificates:

  • Part 145 – approved maintenance organisation
  • Part 42 – continuing airworthiness.

In the coming months, 5 more certificates will be added to myCASA:

  • Part 101 – unmanned aircraft and rockets remote operator's certificate
  • Part 119 – air transport air operator's certificate
  • Part 138 – aerial work
  • Part 141 – recreational, private and commercial flight training
  • Part 142 – integrated and multi-crew flight training, contracted recurrent training and contracted checking.

Making authorised representatives more useful

We've also improved our 'authorised representative' role in myCASA, making it easier for certificate holders to allow other employees to contribute to or complete the documentation needed for applications and notifications.

The CEO or accountable manager will need to review and approve the submission in myCASA with a single click, as per their delegation. The authorised representative can then submit it to CASA and pay any necessary fee estimate.

There's no limit to the number of authorised representatives that can be added to an organisation's myCASA account, however their access will need to be renewed every 12 months.

Anyone with access to a business's myCASA profile can approve, renew or remove authorised representatives in myCASA by simply:

  • logging into myCASA
  • choosing the organisation profile
  • clicking 'Manage users' under the Authorised representative heading
  • selecting 'approve' or 'remove'.

Other authorised representatives can also approve or remove employees from the authorised representative list.

More regulatory services coming to myCASA

This is just the first step in making it easier for organisations to interact with CASA online using myCASA.

Last year we made more than 60 services for individuals available in myCASA and this year we'll be adding regulatory services for organisations spanning airspace, maintenance and airworthiness, drone operations and flight training.
