Checked baggage - Batteries must be removed and carried in the cabin if battery capacity exceeds: For lithium metal batteries, a content of 0.3 grams or less; For lithium-ion batteries, a Watt-hour rating of 2.7 Wh or less. Carry-on (cabin) baggage - Batteries can remain installed in the baggage if battery capacity is less than: For lithium metal batteries, a content of 2 grams or less; For lithium-ion batteries, a Watt-hour rating of 100 Wh or less. Refer to airline for any airline specific requirements.
