CASA's charges for regulatory services
CASA provides a wide range of regulatory services to the aviation industry. These include pilot and maintainers licences, pilot medicals, aircraft registration, certificates to air operators and maintenance organisations, approvals and instruments. CASA has established a set of standards for the delivery of these services to ensure they are provided efficiently and effectively to the aviation industry.
Under Australian Government policy CASA is required to recover the costs of providing these regulatory services and therefore charges fees.
Please note that assessment of your application will only commence when CASA has received your payment and supporting documents.
Service Delivery Standards
Currently, CASA is receiving more applications for licence conversions than can be managed immediately. Applications are being prioritised so those pilots who have a need to convert their licence to Part 61 are not disadvantaged. CASA is doing everything possible to keep up with the demand for new licences.
