Project FS 04/01 - Post Implementation Review (PIR) - CASR Part 67 - Medical
Project closed 20/09/2011.
This project was initiated in 2004 and since that time limited progress has been made towards completing the review. To relaunch the review of CASR Part 67 this current project will be closed and a new project will commence with updated Terms of Reference.
CASR Part 67 prescribes the medical standards and procedures for issuing medical certificates and continuing eligibility for medical certifications. As a result of a decision by the CASA Board to require flight attendants to be medically certificated, it is now necessary to prescribe a medical standard and procedures for issuing medical certificates and determining continued eligibility for medical certification for this group.
The objectives of the revised Part 67 are to:
- review, and determine the relevance, or otherwise, of the existing material relating to medical standards and the issue of medical certificates currently detailed in CASR Part 67, as applied to flight attendants
- prescribe a medical standard and procedures for issuing medical certificates and determining continued eligibility for medical certification for flight attendants.
