Project CS 13/17 - Amendment to CASR Part 31 - Airworthiness standards for manned free balloons
Project closed 11 November 2014.
The amendment to Part 31 has been registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments and is now in effect.
Australian airworthiness standards in CASR Part 31 for type certification and approval of changes to type design of manned free balloons do not fully align with those standards in the current FARs and EASA Certification Standards CS-31.
The objective of this project is to harmonise CASR Part 31-Airworthiness standards for manned free balloons-with FARs Part 31 and EASA Certification Specifications 31.
CASR Part 31
This project was approved by: Grant Mazowita, on behalf of the Executive Manager Standards Division on 9 June 2013.
