Project AS 10/19 - Restructure and update information from CAAP 89C-1(0) - "Training of Aerodrome Reporting Officers and Works Safety Officers" into an Advisory Circular

Closure notes

CAAP 89C-1(0) - Training of Aerodrome Reporting Officers and Works Safety Officers has successfully been restructured and updated into 139c13.pdf (pdf 55.5 KB)

Issue

CAAP's written when aerodromes were regulated under Part 9 of CAR 1988 are still in existence. In 2003, the shift was made to the new aerodromes regulatory framework of CASR Part 139 - Aerodromes, made under CASR 1998. It is now time to replace the CAAPs with AC's made under CASR 139.

Material in CAAP 89C-1(0) is to be reviewed and, where necessary, updated and incorporated into a new AC 139-13(0) 'Training of Aerodrome Reporting Officers and Works Safety Officers.

Project Objective

To produce an Advisory Circular giving Industry general advice on the subject of training for aerodrome personnel.

Status

This project was approved by Rick Leeds, A/G Executive Manager Standards Development and Future Technology on 27 July 2010.
