New SMS notifications to show application progress
We've introduced a new SMS notification service for people applying for remote pilot and flight crew licensing authorisations.
The changes are part of our continued push to improve the way we communicate with the aviation community.
From Monday 27 November you'll now receive an SMS notification when we first start working on your application, and we'll send you another SMS notification to let you know when we've finished the job.
If we start and finish your job on the same day, you will only receive one SMS to let you know it's been done.
The new system means you won't have to keep checking CASA Self Service to see how your application is progressing, although you can still keep track that way too if you would like to.
You'll be automatically registered for this service when you submit your application. To receive the SMS notifications, please make sure you keep your contact details up to date with us.
If you don't want to receive the SMS notifications, please let us know. You can do this by calling our CSC Flight Operations and Licensing team on 131 757 or email email@example.com.
Over the coming months the system will also be expanded to provide notifications to people applying for aviation medical certificates.
