Help set the standards for Australian aviation safety
We're looking for people who enjoy an intellectual challenge, like solving problems and want to play a part in setting the standards for aviation safety in Australia.
We're recruiting for Senior Standards Officer – one flight crew licensing (training) specialist and several fixed wing specialists. Preferably working in our national office in Canberra (although Brisbane or Melbourne may be considered for the right candidate), you'll enjoy the support of a multi-disciplinary team of people drawing on their industry expertise to help drive Australian aviation policy.
We need people with the right qualifications and aviation experience, but just as importantly we want people who are open-minded and aren't afraid to explore and debate ideas. You'll need to enjoy working through complex problems and finding solutions and will be flexible enough to deal with a constantly evolving and changing environment. The work we do is unique, so while you'll have the right mix of skills we'll provide training and mentoring to help you apply them into developing policy, writing regulations and creating guidance material.
You'll need to travel interstate at times to meet with your colleagues in our regional offices or participate in meetings with members of the aviation community. There may also be opportunities for international travel.

Applications close at midnight on Sunday, 4 March.
