Annual Report 2005-06: Parliamentary oversight
CASA attended hearings of the Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Committee in November 2005 and February and May 2006. A total of 186 questions were taken on notice as a result of those hearings, and received timely responses. Most questions related to CASA’s reorganisation, the Lockhart River accident and air operations in north Queensland and Western Australia.
CASA provided input for responses to 63 written questions received during the reporting period.
No CASA instruments that were subject to parliamentary disallowance were disallowed by either House of Parliament during 2005–06.
