DAMP Exemption - Foreign Air Transport AOC Holders
This instrument replaces CASA EX50/16 Exemption — CASR Subpart 99.B DAMP requirements for foreign aircraft AOC holders, which expired 22 March 2019.
What is it?
This instrument exempts Foreign Air Transport AOC Holders engaged in international air navigation in Australia, but not engaged in domestic air navigation within Australia, from the requirement to have a DAMP, provided that certain conditions are met.
The conditions in this CASA instrument are in accordance with proposed policy changes in future amendments to Part 99 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (the CASR).
How does my organisation obtain the exemption?
This is a standard instrument issued by CASA to provide exemption to a particular aspect of Part 99B of the CASR.
Therefore, there is no formal application process or cost recovery associated with this instrument, and it is accessed via the hyperlink at the top of this page. The requirement placed on a Foreign Air Transport AOC Holder through this exemption is to provide CASA with details of a senior person with whom CASA may liaise in relation to the management of alcohol and drugs.
For holders of a Foreign Air Transport AOC this information is provided to CASA at the time of AOC application under section B3 of CASA Foreign air transport AOC application form 73 (pdf 942.81 KB).
