Our use of social media
Our social media channels provide news and information on publications, safety promotion products, seminars and workshops, education and training opportunities and much more.
We don't use social media for formal regulatory purposes such as consultation with the aviation industry or providing regulatory services. We won't release any private or commercially in-confidence information on social media.
Monitoring and response
Our social media accounts are monitored Monday to Friday (AEDT) from 8:30am to 5.30pm.
We can’t always respond to individual comments or questions. If a question, theme or topic is raised frequently, we will aim to provide a response. Responses will be considered informal. You should make formal enquiries through email or phone to the relevant area within CASA.
Feedback and engagement from our social media community is welcome. We encourage your comments and hope you will join in on but discussions should remain respectful.
We will remove comments or posts that contain any form of bullying or abuse, racial or religious slurs, coarse or inappropriate language. CASA will take action if the use of our social media channels poses a risk to safety, is offensive or otherwise unacceptable, but will not generally respond to queries and comments.
Following and sharing
From time-to-time we might share other users’ posts where we see a community benefit, and the content relates to our core functions.
We follow other accounts but we don't necessarily follow all of our followers. If we follow an account or user—or refer to existing accounts, posts, discussions or hashtags—please don't take this as any kind of recommendation or endorsement.
We try to make sure that our information is current and up-to-date on social media; however information does change over time. We advise you to check the information is still current before relying on it.
