Closure notes

The final AC 21-35(1) can be found at: Advisory Circulars - ACs.

Issue

AC 21-35 provides guidance on the control and calibration of inspection and test equipment used during manufacture of aircraft equipment. CAAP 30-2 provides guidance on the control and calibration of inspection and test equipment used during aircraft maintenance under regulation 30 of CAR 1998 by certificate of approval holders. The information in the two guidance documents is basically the same. Given the introduction of Part 145 of CASR 1998 and the need for calibration guidance for those approved maintenance organisations CASA has decided to provide all calibration guidance in AC 21-35 for use by CAR 30, Parts 21 and 145 certification and maintenance organisations.

Project objective

Update and republish AC 21-35 and cancel CAAP 30-2
