Project CS 04/02 - Amend CASR Part 21 to recognise type certificates issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)

Topic code:
Aircraft Registration, Marking and Certification
Project status:
Closed

Closure notes

Project closed 28 July 2004.

Purpose/Objectives

Amendment to CASR Part 21 is necessary because CASR 21.12 currently recognises seven countries for the purposes of automatic acceptance of aircraft type certificates. Four of those countries are members of the European Union. In the future, those four countries won't be issuing new type certificates because all such certificates will be issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
