Pilots and aircraft operators are being urged to check NOTAMs and other advisories for warnings banning flying over conflict zones, including in Russia and Ukraine.

The affected Russian airspace is in the Moscow, Samara and Rostov Flight Information Regions (FIRs) within 160 nautical miles of the border.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority cautions pilots and airlines to be vigilant for any notices, advisories, bulletins, warnings or safety information issued by governments or aviation agencies about flying over or in conflict zones.
