Join the CASA team

16 June 2021

We’re looking for people to join our team, with inspector roles now advertised at our offices around the country.

We’re after candidates who have relevant experience in an aviation or regulatory environment and want to make a positive contribution to aviation safety.

About the roles

Our Senior CASA Inspectors and CASA Inspectors in the Aviation Safety Regulator classification stream cover areas as diverse as aircraft operations, continuing airworthiness, air navigation, aerodromes, human performance, safety management and remotely piloted aircraft systems.

Our Aviation Safety Regulator inspectors:

  • provide guidance to the aviation community on the implementation of aviation safety legislation
  • make sure that people and organisations who perform aviation activities meet their legislative obligations and continue to operate at the required level of competency and safety.

In addition, our inspectors in the Flying Operations classification stream perform flight operations duties that may include:

  • surveillance
  • assessment and recommendation for appointments, licences and certificates
  • regulatory advice and regulatory services.

This is predictive recruitment for future ongoing (permanent) and non-ongoing (temporary) opportunities across various disciplines.

The merit pool established through this selection process will be valid for a period of 12 months.
