We have introduced a new way to report confirmed positive drug and alcohol management program (DAMP) tests online using myCASA.
This new DAMP report form is found in the ‘Applications’ section in myCASA.
The form has been designed to support our proposed amendments to Part 99 regulations in late 2023.
One of the proposed amendments will make it mandatory to report medical review officer (MRO) confirmed positive DAMP tests to CASA within 72 hours.
Once the amendment is active, you will only need to report positive test results if you are an organisation that:
- has a requirement to develop a DAMP in accordance with Part 99
- holds a CASA instrument of approval for their DAMP-like program.
You can begin using the reporting portal before the amendments are active. This will help in generating useful end user feedback. It will not be mandatory to report using myCASA until the amendments are brought in for Part 99.
