CASA maintenance organisation approvals
There are two approval types available for organisations who maintain aircraft. Dependent on the type of flying operations carried out with the aircraft you wish to maintain, will decide which maintenance approval you apply for. The links below will provide all required information on what each approval is and the process to follow in applying for either of these approvals.
Organisations approved under CASR Part 145 will be able to provide maintenance services for regular public transport aircraft and/or their aeronautical products. These organisations are known as CASR Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisations.
Certificate of approval (COA CAR 30)
A certificate of approval (COA) is granted under Regulation 30 of the Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) to provide maintenance services for registered aircraft and/or aeronautical products not operated in regular public transport.
