26 June 2015 - End of Part 66 Transition phase
- The transition phase to a standard Part 66 licence by qualifying for a licence using regulation 31 of CAR 1988, ended on 26 June 2015.
Post 26 June 2015
- After 26 June 2015, use of CASA Basics and SOE will no longer be available to gain a B1.1, B1.3 or B2 licence that is to be endorsed with a type rated aircraft type. These licences and ratings can be gained at a Part 147 MTO. However, if you are currently using the CASA Basics and SOE to obtain a Part 66 licence that covers small aircraft licensing, or remove exclusions from a Part 66 category, subcategory or rating, you can continue to use the CASA Basics and SOE pathway until June 2019.
