New approach to control cables
Aircraft owners, operators and maintainers need to be aware of a new approach being taken by CASA to the mandatory replacement of a range of primary flight control cable assemblies. This relates to AD/GENERAL/87 Primary Flight Control Cable Assembly Retirement.
The new approach is described in PAD/GENERAL/87 Amdt 1 - Primary Flight Control Cable Terminals - Detailed Visual Inspections which closed for industry comment on 28 June 2017. Comments are currently under consideration.
