New alert service for medicals
We’ve introduced a new SMS notification system for people who apply for aviation medical certificates. The changes are part of our continuous push to improve the way we communicate with the aviation community.
Applicants will now receive SMS notifications from the Medical Records System (MRS) when they begin an application. If you choose to receive notifications an automatic SMS will be sent to your mobile phone number on three occasions: 60 days before your certificate is due to expire; once your DAME has uploaded your medical application to CASA; and when your medical certificate has been issued by us.
We’ll also be able to send manual SMSs notifying you of any correspondence that has been sent to your email address such as requests for further information, prompts to supply missing information and reminders to provide previously requested reports.
If you don’t want to receive this service, select the opt out option in the ‘applicant’ tab under your contact details when you begin your application in the online Medical Records System (MRS).
