Governance

Our governance framework

Governance in the public sector is primarily concerned with the way in which an organisation is controlled, operated and managed in order to achieve its objectives in a manner consistent with the requirements of the law and applicable policies.

CASA’s governance framework contains ten key elements:

  • Element 1 – Overview
    • Accountability
    • Public Officials
    • Legislation
    • Ministers Statement of Expectation
  • Element 2 - CASA Board
  • Element 3 – CASA’s Structure
  • Element 4 – Corporate Reporting
    • Corporate Plan
    • Annual Report
  • Element 5 – Financial Management
  • Element 6 – Business and Risk Management
    • Business Continuity
  • Element 7 – Internal and External Audit
  • Element 8 - Workforce Culture
    • Work Health and Safety
    • Code of Conduct
    • Fraud Control
  • Element 9 – Workforce Strategy
  • Element 10 – Roles and Responsibilities

The framework is a fundamental resource for all levels of CASA management and staff. It's a living document, and includes references to legislation, policy documents and procedural manuals, which are continually evolving.
