How to apply for a job
Would you like to join CASA?
The information below will guide you through different aspects of our application process and how to apply for a job.
Your eligibility and application
You need to be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident to apply for an ongoing (permanent) job at CASA.
In accordance with our security policy, if applying for roles that require a security clearance of baseline or above, you will be required to be an Australian citizen. The security clearance required for the role will be stated on the role documentation.
We use an online e-Recruitment application system and do not accept emailed applications.
You need to submit your application using the online process by clicking the green apply button at the top left of the advertisement. If you need help using the online application tool or experience trouble accessing our e-Recruitment system, you can email the CASA Recruitment Team at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
The contact officer will be listed within the vacancy details and will be able to provide you with an overview of the role and answer any questions you might have.
You’ll need a copy of the role documentation before you can start your application. You can get this by clicking on the PDF link in the vacancy details section at the bottom of the job advertisement.
The application format/requirements may vary depending on the position you are applying for. For information on how to apply, refer to the instructions provided within the vacancy details section of the advertised role.
Generally you will need to include a current CV (or resume) and prepare a submission which addresses the role’s capabilities. It is important that your application submission provides clear and relevant examples demonstrating your experience and abilities to perform the duties for the role considering the specific deliverables (of the position). You will need to provide specific examples of what you have accomplished and how you did it.
To address the role’s capabilities, your submission should consider the five capabilities of the role profile. Please note the sub-points under role profile are to help you address the main capabilities/criteria. The sub-points are not extra criteria and you do not need to address each sub point individually.
Instructions on the length of your application will be included in the advertised role’s vacancy details.
Please note you can only attach two documents in the e-Recruitment application system.
If you’re applying for a role that has mandatory qualifications, you will need to show us that you meet the mandatory requirements of the role before you can be short-listed. This can be achieved by ensuring mandatory licences, qualifications and experience are highlighted in your resume and submission.
You must submit your application by 11:30pm AEST on the closing date.
