Aeronautical study of Coffs Harbour – feedback requested

The OAR has completed an aeronautical study of the airspace within 22 nautical miles of the Coffs Harbour aerodrome. Stakeholders are requested to provide feedback on the study to info_oar@casa.gov.au no later than Wednesday 7 April 2010. CASA will consider feedback received to be public information and will attribute feedback, however requests to remain anonymous will be considered.

Aeronautical study of Hobart and Cambridge - feedback requested

Argus Consulting Pty Ltd has completed a review of the airspace within 35 nautical miles of Hobart and Cambridge aerodromes.  Stakeholders are requested to provide feedback on the review to info_oar@casa.gov.au no later than Wednesday 31 March 2010.  CASA will consider feedback received to be public information and will attribute feedback, however requests to remain anonymous will be considered.

CASA consultation on Airspace Change Proposals for Broome & Karratha

CASA's Office of Airspace Regulation seeks feedback on airspace change proposals for the airspace in the vicinity of Broome and Karratha aerodromes.  Stakeholders are requested to provide feedback on the airspace change proposals to info_OAR@casa.gov.au no later than 31 March 2010.

Aeronautical study of Rockhampton - feedback requested

Consultants To70 Aviation have recently completed an aeronautical study of the airspace in the vicinity of Rockhampton aerodrome. Prior to review of the study it is recommended that stakeholders make themselves familiar with background information to the study, provided by CASA.  Stakeholders are requested to provide feedback on the study to info_oar@casa.gov.au no later than Wednesday 7 April 2010. CASA will consider feedback received to be public information and will attribute feedback, however requests to remain anonymous will be considered.

CASA comment and final recommendations on Hyder's airspace review of Wollongong

CASA has completed a comment and final recommendations paper with respect to the Hyder Consulting Pty Ltd airspace review of Wollongong, completed in August 2009. The CASA paper includes feedback and comment received during the stakeholder consultation phase.

Alice Springs Aeronautical Study

The OAR has completed an aeronautical study of the airspace in the vicinity of Alice Springs aerodrome. This study incorporates additional stakeholder feedback and recommendations.

Air traffic control services at Broome and Karratha

Broome and Karratha aerodromes are to get class D air traffic control services from late 2010. CASA has issued determinations for both locations to become controlled aerodromes, with air traffic services to be delivered by Airservices Australia. More information is available in the December CASA Briefing.

CASA comment and final recommendations on Hyder's airspace review of Geraldton

The OAR has completed a comment and final recommendations paper with respect to the Hyder Consulting Pty Ltd airspace review of Geraldton (dated August 2009). This paper includes industry feedback and recommendations.

Gove Aeronautical Study

The OAR has completed an aeronautical study of the airspace in the vicinity of Gove. This report incorporates additional industry feedback and recommendations.

Utility of GAAP Review – Version 2 – 15 December 2009

CASA received feedback from a number of stakeholders on The Utility of General Aviation Aerodrome Procedures (GAAP) to Australian-administered Airspace Review Report (Report), dated 30 June 2009.

A response to this feedback was prepared by the Ambidji Group, in conjunction with Lloyd’s Register. CASA has included a number of comments in the response document. Stakeholders who provided feedback in this instance have not been identified, but in future feedback will ordinarily be attributed although CASA will consider a stakeholder’s request to remain anonymous.

Version 2 of the Report, dated 15 December 2009, includes necessary changes from the 30 June 2009 version, identified by a change bar in the left border of each amended page.

Post Implementation Review of Avalon Airspace

The OAR has completed a Post Implementation Review of Avalon Airspace. Following feedback from airspace users, the Review has recommended several airspace changes. Consequently, Airspace Change Proposal (ACP) 376/09 has been submitted.

The feedback period for the Post Implementation Review and the ACP has now closed. All feedback received from stakeholders will be considered and an update will be provided in due course.

Update of Standard Economic Values

The OAR is currently in the process of updating the Standard Economic Values. Cost values have been updated; however the OAR is awaiting annual movement figures for 2009 from Airservices Australia. A further update will be provided in early 2010.

New Class E Airspace at Williamtown from 19 November 2009

CASA has determined that airspace over and surrounding Williamtown will change to Class E, above 4,500 feet above mean sea level.

Adelaide airspace architecture changes occurring 19 November 2009

The Adelaide Airspace Review conducted last year by OAR, CASA, recommended a number of changes to the airspace architecture around Adelaide.
