Overseas flight crew qualifications recognition
The Australian Civil Aviation Regulations provide for the recognition of foreign flight crew licences as the basis for the issue of an Australian licence.
Military flight crew qualifications recognition
Military flight crew are not permitted to fly civilian registered aircraft unless they have been authorised to do so by CASA. As a general rule, such authorisation takes the form of a flight crew licence with associated ratings and aircraft endorsements.
Australian flight crew licences and ICAO differences
Currently there are differences between Australian legislative requirements relating to personnel licensing, and the Standards and recommended Practices (SARPs) laid down by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
