The VFRG is divided into five main sections, plus an index. These sections are all high-res, so that the diagrams and tables are clear. When printed the VFRG becomes an uncontrolled document, so please check regularly to ensure you have up-to-date information.

  2. Pre-flight planning (6.31MB) – meteorology, briefing, notification, information services.
  3. Operations (8.29MB) – communications, non-controlled aerodromes, controlled airspace, sport aviation, helicopter operations.
  4. Helicopter operations (2.8MB)
  5. Emergency procedures (2.75MB)
  6. Index (1.96MB)

You can also download the entire Visual Flight Rules Guide in either low resolution (5.99MB) or high resolution (23.8MB).

Remember

  • Your first, and primary reference for all maps and charts should be controlled documents such as NAIPs.
  • Plan your route thoroughly, and use current charts and documents. Always check ERSA, NOTAMS, and the weather, before you fly.
