Broome Aeronautical Study (19 May 09)
After extensive stakeholder consultation the OAR has completed an aeronautical study of the airspace around Broome aerodrome.
The OAR invites feedback on the content of the study and its recommendations. Feedback with a subject header of "Broome Aeronautical Study - Feedback" should be addressed to INFO_OAR@casa.gov.au no later than Friday 26th June 2009.Maroochydore Airspace Review (8 May 09)
An independent and objective aeronautical review of the airspace within 20 nautical miles of Maroochydore aerodrome has been conducted.

The OAR has completed the Aeronautical Study of the airspace around Kalgoorlie-Boulder aerodrome.
OAR GAAP Utility Review
The OAR has commissioned the Ambidji Group, in conjunction with Lloyd’s Register, to conduct a review of the utility to Australian airspace management of General Aviation Airport Procedures (GAAP) as used at Bankstown, Camden, Moorabbin, Jandakot, Archerfield and Parafield.
The review will research best practice in other aviation regulatory jurisdictions, and the Classes of airspace and aerodrome procedures documented by ICAO in Annexes and related SARPs.
The review will determine the most appropriate airspace Class or procedure for Australia and provide recommendations to the OAR. Recommendations will be supported by risk assessments and cost-benefit analysis.
Consultation with stakeholders, face to face and through a questionnaire, has been completed. Stakeholder meetings and Hazard Identification Workshops were held during February and March 2009. CASA thanks all those that took part in the consultation process.

Williamtown Arrangements 2008/9 POS - Post event Review
(amended 20 February 2009)
The OAR conducted a post event review of the effectiveness of the CA/GRS and other risk mitigation strategies at Williamtown during the 2008/9 Period of Operational Standby (POS).
The review was amended on 17 February 2009 as follows:
"Defence provided a CA/GRS from 0600 to 2200 daily." replaced
"Defence provided a CA/GRS from 0600 to 2200 weekdays and 1000 to 1900 on weekends and public holidays."
