Current rule
CASR Part 39 – Airworthiness directives
Part 39 of the CASRs was made on 1 October 1999 and became effective on 1 January 2000. It consolidates the rules for the issue of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and reflects the adoption of international regulatory practice wherever possible and ICAO's Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).
Who Part 39 affects
- Aircraft maintenance organisations;
- Aircraft owners/operators; and
- Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
