Office of Airspace Regulation

Airspace Planning Manual

The Airspace Planning Manual (APM), released in April 2007, outlines how the OAR manages Australian airspace.  In particular, it describes:

  • airspace management principles,
  • the airspace architecture,
  • the six stages in the airspace change process,
  • the airspace monitoring process, and
  • the airspace audit process.

The APM provides airspace stakeholders with clarity about the OAR's airspace management process and is a guide for those seeking to initiate an airspace change proposal.
